Jan 6, 2011 - ok. I started listening to my own music in 1991 at the age of 12. I switched over to Country in 1996 at 17 (if was very uncool to claim country but I didn't care!) anyways Rodney is before my time. I seen his name as a songwriter but didn't put much thought into it. One Month ago (Dec 2010 I decided to make a playlist of Country songs that came out in 1990, 1989 and 1988. He's got 2 or 3 on there and I love listening to RC now!! He's my newest favorite singer right now.

Jan 16, 2011 - VEVO You are killing you tube...making it a monopoly is undesirable to all. GO AWAY!

Jan 24, 2011 - I understand you there, I grew up in Long Beach California and listened to country, back when Rodney was a newer artist and John Schneider from the Dukes of Hazard was singing some really good songs. All the good ones like this are gone and have been since replaced by hill billy pop singers that arent worth a dime, and take a listen to Wade Hayes, he was really awesome singer, around 92 93 i believe

Feb 11, 2011 - This song meant a lot to me back in 89. Just finished Rodney's book Chinaberry Sidewalks, excellent read by the way, and this song seems to fit well after reading it as does Earthbound. Well done Rodney.

Mar 3, 2011 - Rodney is playing at The Kent Stage in Kent, Ohio on March 5th!!!! It's a really great venue to see live music!!!

Mar 23, 2011 - its so fucking sad how bad music is now, good artists and good music is being ignored and replaced by "britney spears" for example

Aug 11, 2011 - Is it just my imagination or does radio save all the best music for youtube?

rednekgirl77 Says:

Aug 16, 2011 - I love this song, I always thought Rodney Crowell never got enough radio time or awards, this is real music, in my opinion.

Softcorps Says:

Oct 14, 2011 - I worked on this video in Taos, New Mexico. The weather didn't cooperate, so the script was basically tossed out and the video just kind of evolved organically. I think it turned out really special because of that. I really enjoyed hanging out with Rodney, he is incredibly talented and was remarkably normal.

farneyblakeley Says:

Nov 10, 2011 - this guy should have been a crossover hit, he was too good for country music radio

Apr 19, 2012 - Rodney DID have a pop top 40 hit in '80. It was his original version of 'Ashes by now'. It hit #37 pop in Billboard.

kbmarshall10 Says:

Apr 24, 2012 - Beautiful lyrics and enticing melody...makes me want to take a road trip! Listen to "Riding out the Storm" for more of Rodney's exceptional lyrics.
