Jul 10, 2011 - I think it's more a jab than a tribute, considering lyrics like "Daddy's doing Sister Sally ", "There ain't much to country living Sweat, piss, jizz and blood", "Grandpa pissed his pants again He don't give a damn Brother Billy has both guns drawn He ain't been right since Vietnam" Awesome song though

Jul 21, 2011 - Saw him at the Stone Pony in the 80's. Excellent show.
juliamacadam Says:
Jul 21, 2011 - I think it's more a jab at Skynrd fans, than the band.
AntiOnus Says:
Jul 25, 2011 - Man, this is by far the best american folk music performer ever!
SuperSaiyanGamerDBZ Says:

Aug 8, 2011 - Zevon was a friend of Neil Young. He thought Lynyrd Skynyrd dissed Neil's 'Southern Man' when they wrote 'Sweet Home Alabama'. They say: Well I heard mister Young sing about her Well, I heard ole Neil put her down Well, I hope Neil Young will remember A Southern man don't need him around anyhow Zevon retaliated with 'Play it All Night Long' .
smokinghooeyup247 Says:
Aug 17, 2011 - makes sense i hope its true cause Neil's the shit, and Zevons the man word!
jewonacamel Says:
Aug 27, 2011 - Wish i would have had a chance to see him live...As D. Chandler said it best, "I was born too late".

RansomII Says:
Sep 4, 2011 - They're both great. Don't downplay either of them.
08shortstop Says:
Sep 17, 2011 - This song is 20 times better than anything Lynyrd Skynryd ever did ... ironic ain't it?
08shortstop Says:
Oct 1, 2011 - Yeah, you just don't offend Warren and not expect a biting response ... genius always has the last word.
bris2world Says:
Oct 2, 2011 - 4 southern rednecks don't like this.
hokiejames Says:
Oct 2, 2011 - does anyone not know that Neil Young was a HUGE skynard fan.... He was an honorary pall bearer at Van Zants funeral... He wrote Powderfinger for them.. Listen to Drive by Truckers Southern Rock Opera... it lays it out for you.

Nov 20, 2011 - I understand that Springstein is good he just doesn't appeal to me.
wickedfeylady Says:
Nov 24, 2011 - I hate that I will never see him live. He had faults as a person(we all do) but as an artist he was so amazing. (And he was sexy too, but I didn't think that till after I got into his stuff lol)
123rcac Says:
Nov 26, 2011 - where are the other musicians now? They are so killer here
boogiebabe67 Says:
Dec 23, 2011 - The four dislikes are from people who were the result of first cousins mating and breeding.
WildManWillis1 Says:
Apr 8, 2012 - you got it!!!! this is a Southern Prejudice song,,,pitiful :0(,,,i should not even give it this much attention!!!!-W
heminanana Says:
Apr 13, 2012 - How was it an answer to "Sweet Home"? It came out well after that song and even after the plane crash .... hence "play that dead band's song" Skynyrd wasn't a functioning band at the time... they didn't reunite until well after.
MVPPresents Says:
May 18, 2012 - I think Warren was one of the greatest, but saying that about Springsteen is just crazy talk. Maybe you need a refresher course? Go put on Born To Run. :-)
MrDavearama Says:
Jul 9, 2011 - It wasn't a jab at Lynrd Skynrd, probably in his way a tribute.
