Rock-n-Roll Animals was intended to be a feature-length documentary about guitarists Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner. Hunter and Wagner, most well-known for their extraordinary twin-guitar work on Lou Reed's Rock-n-Roll Animal and Alice Cooper's Welcome to My Nightmare, developed a playing style that saw the songs' lead and rhythm parts divided equally between them and that influenced a wide variety of legendary bands from Aerosmith and Thin Lizzy to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Iron Maiden.

Mar 22, 2010 - Two of THE best rock guitarists EVER! I was so looking foward to the movie about them... Kinda bummed it didn't come to pass. Instead we have Joan Jett and The Runaways who could barely play their instruments given a full blown movie. Jeez, they weren't even the first all female band that wrote/played themselves! The business is a joke. Thanks for these clips though. Met Dick in NYC in the late 80's when he was gigging @ Kenny's Castaways, great guy.

Jul 9, 2010 - At the age of ten they told him to put down that guitar you'll break it. Thank God for disobedience. These two guys could play anyone under the table and I mean anyone.

Aug 9, 2011 - Thanks to Jeremy Lanni...producer and director of what you see here... a substantial part of what was to have been a full length documentary of Steve and my careers as individuals and as the duo behind Lou Reed and Alice Cooper. I'm sorry it is incomplete, but it tells a story...a story I am totally proud to have been part of. Enjoy...thanks Jeremy Dick Wagner
