Just think about this for one minute: Mr. Lightfoot has written over 400 songs ALL OF WHICH he has lyrically written by himself. Lennon had McCartney, Simon had Garfunkel, Jagger had Richards, Plant had Page, Bon Jovi had Sambora, etc. etc. etc. you get my drift. This man (like Springsteen) just spent a lot of time by himself writing great lyrics. Gord is truly amazing even now in 2012.

Jan 24, 2012 - I only discovered this Gord song recently, and it really moves me, my late father was part of the WWll generation, and it reminds me of him so much. Gord has a way of impacting you on such a persoanl level, a truly great song.
