I hope all of my YouTube friends and Subs will forgive my lack of any kind of interaction or responses to videos sent to me lately, or indeed my lack of replies to the kind comments left on my own video's by kind listeners and friends. I have had a lot on my plate over the past few weeks and time spent at my pc has been very much less than usual. I will try to answer any replies and view video's as and when I can. I hope you will understand. Thank you. -Kenny "Candida" was the first single released under the name Dawn, later to become Tony Orlando and Dawn, in August 1970. It was written by Toni Wine and Irwin Levine, produced by Dave Appell with Hank Medress, Phil Margo, Mitch Margo and Jay Siegel of The Tokens, and arranged by Norman Bergen. The background singers were Sharon Greane, Linda November, Jay Siegel, and co-writer Toni Wine. Phil Margo played drums on the original session. The B-side of the single, when it was released, was the group's second hit, "Knock Three Times". The single eventually hit #3 on the Billboard charts and was the signature track of the group's first album, also named Candida. The song was featured in the season 5 episode of Lost titled "LaFleur".
