As they ran down the aisle of the church outside they were greeted by the whole town who smiled at them warmly. They all watched them grow up and now that they are married...its heartwarming to them. From the corner of her eye Demi spotted Denise and Dianna crying. She pointed them out to Joe. When Joe and Demi were talking to everyone, thanking them for their congratulations they stopped at an old couple. They were the same ones that would let them play in their yard because it was so big. They never doubted that those two kids running around their backyard had something. It was like an unexplainable connection they both saw. And they would know since they have been together for almost 60 years. "Hey, Devonne, Adam" Demi smiled at the elderly couple in front of her. "Hello, congratulations, we knew this would happen" Devonne said smiling. "We always knew those kids running around our backyard were gonna fall in love."Adam said. Demi looked at Joe and squeezed his hand smiling up at him. He returned the smile and wrapped an arm around her waist. "Well, we made a pact in your backyard" Joe said "Oh, what was that?" "That we would be together, back then as friends, until we were elderly like you two" Joe smiled. "Oh, for sure, sweetheart, you will be. If the way you look at this young woman isn't true love then I don't know what is." Devonne said to Joe. Demi watched for Joe's reaction. He immediately smiled down at Demi and whispered, "I wanna grow old with you. Like them okay? Promise" Her eyes light up, "I promise" she pressed her lips against his cheek.
