Live recording from 1970. Only known live recording? Dedicated to my great-great uncles Tom and Frank McLaury. Murdered at the OK Corral by self proclaimed Marshals who made their living by pimping http://www.masonproffit.com/html/bio....

kathyfulmer Says:

May 15, 2011 - This is till great stuff that so few know about, I saw them live with Shannana way back in Indy in the '70s. That blows my mind when I realize how long ago, and the message rings true, think about Bradley Manning.

suzycremcheez Says:

May 17, 2011 - @AristotleKoole I've got the album; my favorite MP tune

ORGANICHEAVYMETAL Says:

Jun 2, 2011 - Tom and Frank were Punks! They asked for it and they got it! Get your facts straight. And this song totally sucks!

keaton1895 Says:

Jun 7, 2011 - This song is such a great song and the lyrics ring true today with our freedoms being take away from us little by little.

hiseyes Says:

Jun 9, 2011 - love how the audience was quiet while they sang. wish all concerts were this way! the only one that ever was quiet that i went to was crosby, stills, and nash and that was because they insisted. what a concert!

Aug 17, 2011 - Wow! What a treat finding this site. I loved Sounds Unlimited when they came to Grand Haven, Michigan to play at the roller rink. Then my girlfriend, living in Chicago turned me on to Mason Profit. We had the singers at our wedding ceremony sing Walk on Down the Road as we walked down the aisle. Divorced her. Well great music always outlasts an evil woman. The ex? She's probably sunning herself on hot rock in a southwestern desert with the other reptiles.

garykelder Says:

Aug 20, 2011 - Thank you for posting this. I always loved this song as a teenager going to the Wild Goose in Joliet, IL. I also really like "Buffalo". I didn't realize growing up in the Chicago area that Mason Proffit wasn't nationally beloved, because we sure loved them in Chicago and the burbs.

MaceMn Says:

Aug 28, 2011 - Fuck the FCC and the horse they rode in on.

whodat4ever Says:

Nov 4, 2011 - I just met Art Nash, the original drummer of Mason Proffit. What a good guy. Very interesting to talk with. Very down to earth. Great Music with a great message!

puckster61554 Says:

Dec 31, 2011 - Saw them somewhere in Illinois in the late 60's or early 70's.............or there 'bout. All I remember was times of money and no dope was worse than dope and no money.....:-[]

keaton1895 Says:

Jan 15, 2012 - Dude it is a matter of opinion if they were murdered. Back in the late 1800's the term being called a cowboy was a gang not good people.
